Endodontia is the dental term for the more commonly called 'root canal'. A root canal is a procedure where we "devitalize" the tooth so that you no longer have sensitivity from hot, cold or pressure.
Many times the need for a root canal arises because the tooth has had severe decay that has attacked the nerve and caused pain. Root canals safely restore your tooth to comfort.
After most root canals we generally recommend a full crown to protect the tooth from breaking in the future.
